Disposable bath towels are used across hospitality, spa, travel, and personal care markets where single-use hygiene and compact packaging matter more than reusability. Producing them at scale requires two synchronized stages — folding the non-woven material into its finished size, then wrapping and sealing each piece for retail-ready packaging. This guide walks through both stages and the considerations specific to bath towel production.

The Production Line: Two Synchronized Machines
A complete disposable bath towel line — referred to as the YWJ-YJ-2000 line — consists of two machines working in sync:

- YWJ-WS-CZ multi-function folding machine: folds raw non-woven material into the finished towel size
- A pillow packaging machine: wraps and seals each folded towel into an individual pack
The folding machine is a multi-function design also used for medical bed sheets, underpads, and hole towels — products that require punching and edge taping. For disposable bath towels specifically, those two functions aren’t used; the towel goes through unwinding, folding, and cutting only.

Folding Stage
Raw material is fed in pneumatically, passes through magnetic-powder tension control, and is folded in two directions: a fan-shaped fold across the width (adjustable from 4 to 10 layers) and a half-fold along the length (repeated 2 to 4 times), with servo-controlled cutting and photoelectric sensors positioning each fold precisely. Finished pieces are then conveyed out on a counting arrangement wheel.

| Machine weight | 4.5 t |
Packaging Stage
Folded towels are conveyed directly into the pillow packaging machine, which uses a horizontal flow-wrap process: film unwinds from a roll, is shaped into a tube around each towel by a forming collar, sealed lengthwise and at both ends, then cut into individual sealed packs. This is the same packaging principle used widely across food, medical, and personal care products, adapted here for folded non-woven towels.

| Packaging speed | 40–80 bags/min |
| Max package size | 300 × 200 × 50 mm (L×W×H) |
| Min package size | 150 × 100 × 10 mm (L×W×H) |

Fold Pattern and Size
Bath towels are larger, bulkier items than most other disposable non-woven products, which makes fold pattern selection more important than it is for smaller items. A few considerations specific to this product:

From Folding to Packaging
Once folded, bath towels move to a counting discharge stage before packaging. Depending on your downstream setup, this can feed directly into automatic bag packaging for individually wrapped units — a common format for hotel amenity and travel-size bath towel products. If your production line also needs a wet-fold or lotion-impregnated wipe stage rather than a dry-fold bath towel, that’s a different downstream configuration — see our wet wipes production line guides for that scenario.

Typical Buyers of This Product Line
- Disposable bath towel manufacturing equipment is typically sourced by:
- Private label personal care manufacturers
- Hospitality and hotel amenity suppliers
- Spa and wellness product brands
- Travel and outdoor gear companies
Each of these buyer types tends to prioritize different things — hospitality buyers often care most about cost per unit at volume, while travel and outdoor buyers may prioritize compact fold size and packaging weight.
